CÁTH NA DÉITHE

Cath Na Déithe is a small third-person action RPG inspired by Irish mythology, developed as my final-year graduate project in Unreal Engine 5. This project was mainly focused on gameplay systems, player feel, environment presentation, and building a complete playable slice of a proposed larger game.

Responsibilities

  • Compiling a large amount of information on Irish history and mythology and visiting real historical bronze age sites to create an authentic experience.

  • Sculpted and textured landscapes, created custom landscape materials

  • Programmed core gameplay systems and player mechanics

  • Designed and implemented UI and HUD elements

  • Created visual effects using Niagara

  • Modeled and textured 3D assets

  • Integrated audio elements and implemented sound design

  • Directed and implemented in-game cinematics
